The Pop-Up Boom
Digital and Shopper Convergence
Another trend we're seeing more and more of is the Pop-Up Store. What's really interesting is purely online retailers creating a space for themselves on the high-street, such as eBay and Lastminute.com. This is really blurring the line between online and offline - consumers can browse items and then pay for them on their smartphone or on a laptop, like in the Wired pop-up store. With interaction will dominant this experience, signalling a greater focus on the emotional side of shopping: retail as a brand experience will greater influence purchase.
